Terms of Service

The service

CVAlign compares resumes with job descriptions, suggests changes, writes cover letters and creates PDF resumes. Features differ by plan, as described on the pricing page.

Your account

You must be at least 16 to use CVAlign. You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used it.

Your content

You keep ownership of the resumes, job descriptions and other content you provide, and of the resumes and cover letters CVAlign creates for you. You give us permission to process your content only as needed to provide the service.

You are responsible for having the right to use the content you provide and for making sure the information in your resume and cover letters is accurate.

AI suggestions and scores

Suggestions and cover letters are generated by AI and can contain mistakes. Review everything before you use it. The ATS match score is an estimate based on keyword coverage and does not reflect how any particular employer's system scores applications. CVAlign does not guarantee interviews, job offers or any other outcome.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use CVAlign to create false or misleading credentials;
• upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to use;
• try to get around plan limits, payments or security measures;
• access the service with automated tools, or overload or disrupt it;
• copy, resell or reverse engineer the service.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Plans, billing and cancellation

• The Free plan costs nothing and includes ads. On the Free plan, each PDF download is unlocked by watching an ad.
• Pro and Premium are monthly subscriptions, billed in US dollars through our payment processor. They renew automatically each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time on the pricing page. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
• Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
• "Unlimited" PDF exports are subject to fair use, so the service stays available to everyone.
• We may change prices. If we do, we will give notice before the change applies to your next billing period.

Availability and changes

We work to keep CVAlign available, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.

Ending your use

You can stop using CVAlign at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@cvalign.cloud. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we are required to by law.

Disclaimers

CVAlign is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, CVAlign is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will give notice on the site or by email before they take effect.
